THEIR ALIVE!!!

Yes, the Shepherds are alive. Julie the author of this blog got so caught up in what a terrible year they were having she didn't feel she had anything to blog about. Well she was wrong. 2010 had is trials but WOW! It was a great year no matter what she thought.
This is our beautiful daughter Kamryn...yes Kammy I said Kamryn. That is your real name.
We were blown away that our little pun'kin could be 16 and driving..yeah watch out on the road! She is a go getter. President of her Sophomore class, in A Capella Choir and in the school musicals. She is too busy for her own good.
We got a surprise at this years Homecoming, not only was she nominated but she won Sophomore princess. She and her dad looked so cute going out on the field to except her sash and crown. I cried of course...that's what mom's do.
She went on her first date with Travis. He was such a gentleman and I was privileged to take their picture. Yes, I cried again.
Then it was a girls choice dance a month later and Kammy needed to go. She thought it was cool that she asked a guy named Cameron. He too was a great guy and I got to take their pictures. This time I laughed...these guys were so funny.
Oh our Maddie Moo. She is growing up too fast. She loves school and participating in volleyball and basketball.
She turned 13 this year and we made her a cake. It was funny it split right down the middle and we called it "the butt cake." We told her it fit her. Just teasing Madison.
She loves Young Women's and this was 80's night. Can you tell by the clothing? She loves her leaders and helping out anyway she can.
Like I said she loves school and is making lots of friends. Her favorite subject is art. She is very talented.
Go Maddie!!! We love going to watch her at her games. I'm so happy that she is enjoying middle school so much.
My handsome, funny, crazy Jake.
Jake is starting to help his dad out a lot and has taken on mowing the lawn. We get some pretty interesting patterns in our grass. Its original !!!
He loves scouts and will be getting his arrow of light this month. He has been the pinewood derby winner 2 years in a row. He is so good at building things.
He also loves school and learning new things. He is big man on campus this year being a big 5th grader. His favorite subject at school is art and science.
Jake turned 11 this year and can't wait to be 12 so he can get the priesthood and pass the sacrament. It seems just like yesterday that we brought our big bubba home from the hospital at 10lbs 5 oz. Now he is skinner than a bean pole.
My little man Andrew. Who says he will still hug and kiss me even in front of the guys.
This was a big year for him. He was baptized. This has to be my favorite picture. look at those two guys.
He was so cute. When he was waiting to be confirmed he looked at his new scriptures with his name printed on the cover and said" hey mom, look that's what my name will look like when I'm prophet." It was the best.
He also loves school and is really excelling. His favorite subjects are reading, math and recess.
He has a wicked sense of humor and is my buddy still. He is a mommas boy and I'm OK with that.
Me. well a lot has changed. I no longer work at the school as a crossing guard and noon duty. I need to go back to work to help our family. I now work at Scentsy in their corporate office. I love it. There is no better place to work. I feel blessed everyday I'm there. I also got released from all my ward church callings so I could be called to be the second counselor in the Stake Relief Society. The women I work with our amazing and I'm learning so much from them everyday.
Craig is as crazy as ever as you can see by the picture above... Sorry Honey I had to do it !!! LOL He is doing well at Scentsy too. He loves his job and shares my feelings about the company. He is the High Priest Group Leader in our ward and loves to help. He has also started doing indexing for family history.
Despite my view of 2010 we really did have a great year. I just need to count my blessings. My best blessing my family.
We had fun even though we didn't get to go camping but once this year. We walked the Susan J Kohmen race for the cure. It was such a fun, amazing thing to do.
I can't believe that Craig and I have been married 18 years have 4 kids, two dogs and and a wild crazy life. I wouldn't have it any other way!! Thank you 2010 for everything. We have learned a lot and have been blessed so much. Here is to 2011 and another great year.
Oh and by the way GO BSU!!!!

I'm sorry it took me so long to comment on this post :). Sister Shepherd I LOVE this post. You may or may not know that I think you and your family are amazing and I think very highly of all of you. With that said, I can't believe that Kammy is 16, I can believe that she was homecoming princess, because lets face it, everyone loves her. Maddie is cute as ever and so grown up! I remember babysitting your kids. This is getting weird. I see Jake the most out of your family when I come home and he's at my house. He's the nicest kid, I kinda just expect to see him these days. Congrats to Andrew getting baptized! Beautiful family.
